Exploring Science
For home-educated children
Practical Science Sessions for Home-Educated Children!
Does your child love asking questions, discovering how things work and exploring the world around them? Or perhaps they ask those wonderfully tricky scientific questions that are hard to answer at home!
Exploring Science offers home-educated children the opportunity to step beyond books and screens and experience science for themselves. Through hands-on experiments, practical investigations and immersive activities, children can explore scientific concepts, test their ideas, ask questions and make exciting discoveries in a fun, welcoming environment.
Designed with home education in mind, these sessions offer a chance to enrich your child’s learning with practical science experiences, meet other home-educated learners and develop curiosity, confidence and a love of discovery. Children are encouraged to investigate at their own pace, think creatively and explore the questions that interest them most.
Sessions are led by an experienced and dedicated Science teacher with a BSc in Biochemistry, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and over 14 years of teaching experience. I am skilled in supporting children with a wide range of abilities and needs, helping every child feel included, encouraged and excited to learn.
With a maximum of just 4 children per group, there is plenty of opportunity for individual attention, discussion and hands-on exploration.
- When? Mondays, 2pm–3pm
- Group size: Maximum of 4 children

Whether your child is fascinated by the natural world, loves experimenting or simply has a million questions about how things work, these sessions are a chance to nurture that curiosity and bring science to life!
