School Ready Sessions
Fun, play-based sessions helping children build confidence, independence and essential skills before starting school in September.
Helping Children Feel Confident and Ready for School
Our School Ready sessions are designed to help children develop the skills, confidence, and curiosity they need to thrive both academically and socially when they start school in September. Through fun, play-based activities, children build essential foundations for learning while gaining confidence and excitement about beginning their school journey.
During the sessions, children will explore:
- Early Learning Foundations – Introducing early literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking through fun and engaging activities
- Social & Emotional Development – Building confidence, cooperation, communication, and independence
-
Structured Routines – Helping children become familiar with simple routines that support a smooth transition into school life
- Fine Motor Skills – Activities that strengthen hand and finger control to support early writing and classroom tasks
These sessions are not about formal or academic pressure. Instead, they focus on learning through play and meaningful experiences. Children naturally develop important early years foundations, including:
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Personal, Social and Emotional Skills
- Early Literacy and Maths
- Understanding the World
Many of these vital skills develop quietly through play but are essential for helping children feel confident, capable, and ready for school.
Our goal is to support each child as they grow, explore, and begin their educational journey with joy and enthusiasm.
All sessions are delivered by an Early Years education specialist with over 20 years of experience, ensuring activities are carefully designed to support children’s development and prepare them positively for the transition into school.
